A long-forgotten sci-fi strategy title from 1993 is making an unexpected comeback on original Super Nintendo hardware. The game, which originally saw a very limited release, will now be available as a physical cartridge complete with a custom SNES-compatible mouse.
The title blends turn-based tactical gameplay with a futuristic setting, putting players in command of squadrons of mechs and infantry across grid-based battlefields. What made it stand out at the time was its mouse-driven interface, a rarity on the SNES. The original release was hampered by poor distribution and a small print run, leaving it as a cult curiosity for collectors and retro enthusiasts.
The new physical edition aims to correct that. It includes a fully functional reproduction cartridge, a high-quality mouse designed to work with the original SNES controller ports, and a printed manual. The mouse is built to replicate the feel of the original accessory, with a ball-based tracking mechanism and two buttons. No emulation or modern hardware is required -- it runs on a stock SNES console.
Pre-orders are open now, with a limited production run planned. The publisher has stated that this is a one-time pressing, and no digital version will be offered. For fans of obscure strategy games or anyone who missed the original release, this is likely the only chance to own a physical copy without paying collector prices.
