Sony has officially opened pre-orders for a new limited-edition DualSense wireless controller inspired by the iconic James Bond franchise. Dubbed the "007 First Light" edition, the controller features a striking gold and black color scheme that pays homage to the secret agent’s sophisticated yet dangerous world. The most prominent design element is the official 007 logo emblazoned across the touchpad, giving the controller an unmistakable spy-themed aesthetic.
The gold accents are applied to the controller’s face buttons, directional pad, and thumbsticks, while the main body retains a sleek matte black finish. Subtle detailing, such as a textured grip pattern on the handles, ensures the controller remains functional for long gaming sessions. The design is intended to evoke the elegance of Bond’s signature style, blending luxury with practicality.
Priced at a premium over standard DualSense models, the 007 First Light controller is compatible with both PlayStation 5 and PC. Pre-orders are currently live through select retailers, though Sony has not yet announced a specific release date. Given the limited nature of the run, fans of the franchise and collectors are encouraged to secure their unit early to avoid missing out. The controller is expected to ship later this year, just in time for the upcoming James Bond video game tie-in.
